Twofour announces major new expansion in the Middle East
Twofour has announced a major new operation in the Middle East with the launch of Twofour Arabia and the opening of offices in Abu Dhabi. Twofour Arabia will be looking to growing the company’s business throughout the Middle East, initially focusing on Twofour’s unique broadcasting platform MEDIAFREEDOM, as well as creating broadcast content for the region’s organisations and broadcasters.
Twofour already has offices in Philadelphia, Pune and Brussels. The establishment of Twofour Arabia continues its expansion as a leading convergent agency specialising in Broadcast TV as well as complex web design and development, consultancy and print. MEDIAFREEDOMTM, which enables broadcasters to develop simulcast and video on demand portals in order to develop new revenue streams and manage the migration of audiences online, as well as corporations and government organisations to communicate with all stakeholders online and mobile, will be Twofour Arabia’s entry level offering. The Middle East operation will draw on international management and resources from Twofour’s global offices to provide content production, digital technologies and solutions, strategy and consultation – the local team maintaining the client relationship and co-ordinating support from Twofour experts around the world.
Twofour Chief Executive Charles Wace said “The Middle East is an incredibly important market for us we are planning to open an office in Dubai in the near future too. We have already been approached to establish joint ventures in other parts of the Gulf and we will be launching an educational platform based on our expertise in the education market soon too.”
Jonney Steven said: “Having been with Twofour for the last six years, I’ve seen the company grow at an incredible rate. I’m excited to now be moving to Twofour Arabia to introduce a new market to the huge range of creative and innovative services that the talented Twofour teams offer.”
Twofour Group Managing Director Mark Hawkins said: “As a company specialising in assisting brands, broadcasters and governments to create new online propositions we believe we can establish a significant operation in the Middle East and one which will enable us to transfer knowledge and expertise to emirate media professionals. Twofour Arabia will be building relationships with the region’s major broadcasters and corporations and develop partnerships with major Telcos, Microsoft and system integrators.”
Twofour Arabia’s offices will be based at twofour54, an initiative of the Abu Dhabi government set up to enhance the media and new media industry sector.
